ITC Works with
Industry Leading Rivermeade
Rivermeade signs of Acton, West London has been working with
ITC tooling for over 10 years. The relationship has blossomed
as ITC has continually provided high specification cutting tools
for all Rivermeade's sign making needs. Recently, the industry
leading sign manufacturer took specialist advice and tooling
from ITC when they were tasked with the design, manufacture
and installation of a new sign scheme for the refurbished Le
Grande Intercontinental Hotel, Paris, a landmark building opposite
L'Opera.
The project required an electronic sign system that could be
networked between the numerous floors and rooms of the hotel.
Rivermeade solved the problem with brass and mahogany cases
to house the electronics. The production manager at Rivermeade,
Peter Wessel, sourced specially commissioned brass sheets that
were chamfered at a 60 degree angle using the ITC 110 series
single flute countersink tool. The profile machining was conducted
with the ITC 155 series 3 flute spiral 1/4inch router.
"The specialist tools are available with a rapid turnaround
that is extremely appealing to us. Whilst the quality of the
cutting tools delivers exceptional surface finish and performance
with tool life that far exceeds competitor products. The advice
on tooling choice and cutting speeds provided by ITC has certainly
helped in obtaining an exceptionally well finished product,"
comments Mr Wessel.
ITC's Technical Sales Manager to the sign industry comments:
"We have built an excellent working relationship over the
last decade and this has been based on our technical support
and the outstanding quality of our cutters. Rivermeade has conducted
a number of projects that have required some special cutters
and we have always been on hand to support the customer and
deliver the cutters to suit their exacting needs." |
